Solution Implemented by Edge UOL Offers Protection Against Cyber Threats

Attentive to current global needs and trends in terms of cybersecurity, Edge UOL, a global company focused on edge computing, 5G, and next-generation IT infrastructure services, has brought to Brazil, in partnership with VMware, an innovative protection technology for all types of companies. The Carbon Black solution is intended for endpoints and offers protection against cyber threats, including ransomware.

Through an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution, the technology provided by Edge UOL, which is currently the largest MSSP partner in Latin America, can identify malicious behavior and, based on this, act preemptively to protect devices such as notebooks and desktops used by corporate professionals.

The use of this technology makes it possible to manage vulnerabilities, enabling companies to learn in advance about the threats and risks posed by other software installed on the machines. This allows technical teams to take proactive action to prevent cyber threats from becoming a real danger, in addition to working in an automated way to reduce the time of exposure to risks and streamline problem-solving..

The solution, the result of Edge UOL’s partnership with VMware, also offers security for endpoints that manage critical company missions and whose primary objective is to provide a robust and flexible solution, from an administration and distribution standpoint, for geographically distributed teams. “In a solution we recently implemented at a large technology company, our main challenge was that employees worked in different countries, so we had to comply with various regulations and standards,” commented Rodrigo Lobo. “To this end, the solution was tested against a series of international benchmarks when it was chosen.”

As a cloud-based solution with a simple distribution process, the implementation was done very fast compared to traditional solutions on the market.
