Edge UOL and AWS Open Solutions Center in São Paulo

Edge UOL, the IT arm of the UOL Group, announces the implementation of a Customer Solutions Center (CSC) for testing and approving Edge Computing services with AWS Outposts. The CSC is available at the company’s headquarters in São Paulo and is focused on testing the development of new applications and accelerating solutions that require greater performance, high availability, and operational excellence in architecture using the Hybrid Edge model.

With the CSC, clients can now have their distributed computing projects thoroughly approved, relying on the full support and availability of the Edge UOL team, which has the highest AWS specializations and certifications added to a solid experience in system solution architecture across a wide range of technologies. In fact, Edge UOL was the first AWS partner company to complete the implementation of AWS Outposts in Brazil, in a fully assisted manner and using the Partner Led model.

The transformation accelerated by technology environments and driven especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the increase in the number of cyberattacks, the implementation of the Brazilian General Data Protection Act (LGPD), and the arrival of 5G technology require a modern approach, in which applications need to be processed as close as possible to their premises or users in order to meet performance or regulatory requirements.

AWS Outposts is a managed service that enables applications to be processed beyond the limits of the cloud and run on your premises or in a colo-partner facility close to your consumption. It also enables local processing, giving customers the same user experience and performance as the AWS cloud.
